The kitchen at DSTRKT restaurant is headed up by top chef George Yaneff who come from the top SLS hotel in Beverley Hills who bring his team to take control of this brand new and exclusive restaurant on Rupert Street in London.

The cuisine is a mix of modern American cuisine with much effort spent on creting an innovative menu for all tastes.

The restaurant at DSTRKT is attached onto the nightclub at DSTRKT giving it a lively atmosphere and diners are encouraged to stay on well after the meal in the early hours if you so wish.

I went to DSTRKT with a little cynicism towards restaurants which are situated next to a night club. I admit I was taken aback firstly by the design of the restaurant which is super elegant and secondly by the staff who are obviously highly trained professionals.

My partner and I had the a la carte menu although we did see the Tasting Menu also which looked good but is more for party bookings.

The food offered a good selection and the waiter was very knowledgable about the produce and my partner and I were happy to let the waiter recommend our dishes. Dishes I would not have previously chosen, I would know choose. Wines were suggested with each course and we took recommendations and enjoyed them all.

We were very pleased with the presentation, quality and service and would return gladly. Next time we will return as a group and try the tasting menu.

We left feeling full, happy and a little more knowledgable about Modern cuisine and wines.

Expect performances from Girls Roc that are even more out of this world than normal, and DJ Dan Healy will be on the decks playing only the best in house, rnb and commercial music. We may even get an appearance from Slinky the snake!

Aura Mayfair is holding its annual halloween party Saturday 26th October this year!

Halloweeen parties at Aura are alaways a big affair with over £5000 being sopent on decking out the club to a ghoulish setting. Fncy dress is a must for one of these parties and no expense should be spared dusting off your best outfit. Aura regularly give out prizes on the night to the best dresses guests and be sure to get your picture taken to be tagged on the facebook page!
